roc volunteer & internships

Volunteers are the support system at the ROC. Our volunteers are from various cultural backgrounds and provide a broader understanding of the New Zealand culture with their skills and local experiences.

We have volunteers involved in the following programmes:

  • Outsourcing workshops through organizations like Volunteering Waikato

  • Learning with peers at ROC's office and working under a mentor.

INTERNSHIPS

ROC's internships include training in finance and accounting, ideal for those studying these fields at the tertiary level and training in HR and office administration. Interns are also encouraged to volunteer in our programs as they gain experience working alongside our refugee communities.

The ideal interns would have the following:

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to take initiative

  • Ability to work in teams

  • Reliable and trustworthy

  • Able to multitask and be flexible

Internships run according to our operating hours, 9-4 pm.
