At ROC, we are driven by a passionate and dedicated team, including a strong management team and an experienced board of trustees who provide guidance and strategic direction. Their leadership ensures that we stay focused on our mission of empowering former refugees to become independent and thriving members of our New Zealand community.
But what truly makes ROC special is our incredible group of over 80 volunteers. These individuals bring their time, energy, and expertise to support a wide range of practical programs for children, youth, and adults. United by a shared commitment to acceptance, love, and growth, our volunteers are central to achieving our goal of self-sufficiency for those we serve.
Together, our management team, board of trustees, and volunteers work hand in hand to create a welcoming, supportive environment where individuals can learn, grow, and contribute as valuable assets to their new country.
MANAGEMENT
Executive Director
Changezi leads the Refugee Orientation Centre, guiding strategy and operations to support refugees' integration and well-being. They collaborate with key partners and advocate for policies that enhance services and opportunities for displaced individuals.
Chief Financial Officer
Sandya manages the Centre’s finances, including budgeting and compliance, while overseeing interns and volunteers. She ensures financial sustainability and works with leadership to optimize resources in support of the Centre’s mission.
Operations Manager
Raj designs and leads programs supporting refugee youth’s integration and development, providing mentorship and resources while ensuring programs align with the Centre’s mission and community needs.
Administration & Stewardship
Kaveri manages daily operations, ensuring efficient office management and supporting donor relations, while fostering positive relationships with stakeholders to maintain organizational effectiveness.
Accountant
Ope manages the Refugee Orientation Centre’s financial records, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, budgeting, and financial reporting. They play a key role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting the Centre’s long-term sustainability.
Community Development Officer & Programme Support
Enock Tuyisunge
Enock builds relationships within the refugee community, ensuring programs meet their needs. They provide vital support in program delivery, coordination, and fostering community engagement to drive positive change.
